Geffrye Museum Game analysis Unit 5

I was assigned to analyse the games on that Geffrye Museum website

1. What is the first page of this and other web sites usually called?
Home page

2. Are you able to see where to go (navigate) to find the activities on the site for younger children? Say how you know this.
It is simple to navigate the website to find the kids zone. It is an old fashioned sign-post that has the links on it.

3. What happens when you click on the link? Describe what you see on the page.
You will see the same website but now its dumbed down for kids with the mascot (it is a little dog). The mascot looks friendly and appealing for children.
What do I mean by dumbed down it because its more kid friendly than the website that you saw before hand and its it has games. The colours are appealing for children and they like the cartoon style of the website.

4. Is this page attractive to a young audience? If you answer yes, say why you think it is attractive to a young audience. If you answer no, so why you don't think it is attractive to a young audience.
Its is attractive because it more kid friendly (colour and drawing style) than the main one at the start that because the other one is mainly for big people and kids may find it scary. It is the interactivity that might make them confused and they could find that scary and not want to play.

5. How do you navigate to other links on the site? How has the designer helped you to know this?
It was easy and sample to find. The sign-post shows you the way to go and the links are on it.

Game comments on my own work, my drag and drop mouse game. Unit 5

Feedback

Minar from Level 2 Art and Design gave me this feed back.

He liked what I had done, but it was not finished.
He said, It's a very good structured game but it needs to finished it by making the other numbers draggable. I agree with this and am going to finish it.
He said that my mascot moving around normally it's good, but if you put the wrong answer you my mascot will stop jumping until you remove the wrong answer in that box.

Unit 5. Investigating intercative media products. (What went well and even better if)

What went well.
I manage to do my work in perfect detail from my blogger work to the work book work and most of the assessments I have finished.
Also my review of the others games done by other people standed out because I went in to more detail for ever part of the game like what is a game about, did the game look presentable and most importunely did the game work right.

Even better if. Next time I should have added my museum work into my blogger because I couldn't  find my museum work in my computer but I will finish it for my homework. Also I will try to finish my work in a faster pace.
Also I should try to remember the commandants on the photoshop when doing the animation parts.
I missed the deadline because I went to too much detail.
